Ken Ross, Resort Manager
Originally from Boston Massachusetts, Ken actually grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona before moving to the Grand Canyon to be the assistant food and beverage director at the south rim. That is where he met his future wife Lisa. They both moved to Pagosa Springs, Colorado, where he was the resort manager for Fairfield, a hotel, condo, and timeshare resort. Since then he has worked as a resort manager in Texas, Tennessee, and Florida. He started managing RV resorts for Thousand Trails in the early 90s. Ken and his wife have a grown daughter that lives in Boston. Ken enjoys hockey and is an avid Lightning fan, he also enjoys golfing, and riding his bike.
Annette Heavener, Operations Manager
Annette enjoys sharing stories about her experiences living in various places, including Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and even Alaska. With over 20 years in the banking industry, specifically in Merchant Processing and Hotel Management, she decided to semi-retire and move to Florida to embrace a sunny lifestyle. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and also has a diploma in Hotel and Restaurant Management. In her free time, Annette loves spending time with her dogs, fishing, swimming, and exploring the beautiful Florida beaches.
Myrna McCallum, Guest Services
Joining The Surf team after being a Title Clerk / Office manager for the last 5 years. She is also a Florida Notary. Myrna is a well-traveled individual who has traveled to 46 States plus 2 provinces of Canada. Most of her trips were with her loving husband and their 3 poodles and other times solo with just her pups. Some of Myrna’s favorite things are traveling, enjoying her husband’s cooking, and having quiet time. They’ve lived in Palmetto since 2010 when they aren’t traveling.
Janine Sharp, Guest Services
I have been with Zeman Resorts 2 years on Nov 1, 2024. I have been a licensed hairdresser for 30 years, retired from my career in 2005, when my Husband and I decided to be “Full Time RVers” we then started “Work Camping” and managing RV Resorts in Naples & Everglades City, FL, moved to Texas and managed an RV Resort in Grapevine for the next 12 years.
The RV industry is very gratifying and fun with all the unique and different lifestyles people have had. Generally, they are all happy and just want to enjoy their retirement years, traveling and living the RV Lifestyle. My Husband and I enjoy spending time with our family, and a little beach time, fishing, and working outdoors.
Melinda Matthews, Director of Guest Experience
Melinda is a Virginia and Florida native who is a retired consumer and commercial lending banker Vice
President. Melinda brings over 35 years of financial management experience and 26 years’ experience in
events, charity work, board of director leadership roles, community involvement and activities. She loves
organizing and participating in social events large and small. She is a mother to 2 amazing grown and on
their own children, a dog mom, travel bug and a long-time car and anything with motors enthusiast. She
enjoys health and exercise, spending time with her love Stan, friends and family. With a passion for
creativity and social celebrations, Melinda’s commitment to your optimal guest experience at the Surf will
keep you coming back for the next fun event!

Pat Rossiter, Guest Experience/Bartender
Pat has made an exciting move from Maryland to sunny Florida, and he is loving every minute of it! Throughout his life, he has had a couple of fantastic careers. He spent 18 years as a retail manager at the former Zayre department stores, where he honed his skills in customer service and leadership. After that, he decided to make a change by joining First Data Corp. (now Fiserv), taking on various roles in training and project management. After semi-retiring, Pat dedicated five fulfilling years to working and volunteering with Easter Seals Adult Day Services, a chapter in his life that brought him great joy. Now that he is in Florida, he is focused on meeting new people, hearing their travel stories, embarking on his own adventures, and enjoying quality time with his dog. With the beautiful weather, life couldn’t be better!
Kimberly Stephenson, Guest Experience/Bartender
I recently moved from the coast of North Carolina to Florida to be closer to my daughter. I left my family and a career in real estate behind, and now I’m looking forward to meeting new friends and starting a new chapter in my life. Most importantly, I’m excited about becoming a grandmother! I have a passion for talking to people and providing excellent customer service. When I’m not working, I enjoy watching the sunset at the beach and spending time with my three Toy Poodles. I’m thrilled to be at this beautiful resort, where I get to meet guests and serve drinks at the poolside bar.

I’ve happily retired from property management and real estate and moved from Utah to Florida to be closer to my kids! My husband, Chris, and I are celebrating 49 amazing years together, and our Doberman, Rip, who is 2 ½ years old, keeps our days full of joy and laughter. We’re incredibly proud parents of three wonderful boys and absolutely cherish our five grandchildren. We’re also big hockey fans—two of our sons and a grandson are players, making family outings exciting! As full-time RVers, we’ve embraced quite the adventure and have truly fallen in love with Zeman Resorts, where we’ve called home for the past three years. The community and lifestyle here simply make us happy. In my free time, I enjoy soaking up the sun, relaxing on the beaches, and going on bike rides. It’s a fantastic way to savor life!

Originally from Ohio. Ralph recently resided in Haslet, Texas for the past twelve years. He and his wife Janine have been living the RV Lifestyle for seventeen years. They have owned three different types of motorhomes and managed three RV Resorts in Texas and Florida throughout their amazing journey. They currently live in Parrish, Florida, and have two children and two grandchildren living in North Carolina. Ralph is very excited about the opportunity to be a part of the Surf Team and Zeman Family, and he looks forward to greeting our guests with a smile!

Mike was born in New Jersey. His parents moved to Ft. Myers when he was 9 months old. So he considers himself a Floridian. He retired as a design engineer for Sun Hydraulics after 20 years.
Mike’s hobbies include taking care of his 2 rescue dogs (Kramer and Chip) and playing pickleball.
Ed Zeman, Chairman and Partner
Ed Zeman, Chairman and Partner Zeman graduated from Eastern Illinois University with political science and business degrees in 1988. After completing his bachelor’s, Zeman began his career with Mobile Management Company as the Construction, Maintenance, and Repair Coordinator. He has since worked with several levels of the organization and possesses invaluable experience with numerous real estate entities, a finance company, a home sales company, and more recently, an insurance company, enabling him to provide a unique perspective. Zeman has owned and provided various companies with hands-on management. Ultimately responsible for their success, he has developed a thorough understanding of all issues affecting the bottom line. A self-described “been there, done that” entrepreneur, Zeman has been moving his company to become a professional management organization, continuing to work closely with associates in the daily management of the organization.
